Argentina announced the launch of citizenship program for significant investments through a Decree 524/2025 published July 30, 2025
No Residence
Decree 366/25 amended Citizenship Law 346, will be granted citizenship by naturalization without any residence requirements.
CBI Agency
The Government will be forming a special citizenship by investments program agency will issue a report recommending to the National Directorate of Immigration the approval or rejection of the request.

Ministry of Economy
Ministry of Economy will be responsible for determining which investments will be considered significant. The National Directorate of Migration (DNM), under the Ministry of the Interior, will begin processing naturalization applications for foreigners who decide to become Argentine citizens and meet the requirements to do so

On July 28, 2025, The Argentina government signed a statement of intent to work toward Argentina’s reentry to the Visa Waiver Program (VWP).
The Trump administration is now taking steps to allow Argentina back into the Visa Waiver Program Argentina after removed from the Visa Waiver Program in 2002. The Visa Waiver Program designation process takes time, as partners must meet strong security requirements
